On June 19 2007, The School Board of School District of the City of Pontiac held a press conference to discuss the results of an independent critical and comprehensive analysis of the Pontiac School District.

The release of this examination of the Pontiac School District represents the first phase of a multiphase school district renewal initiative that is being conducted by the Chartwell Education Group.
