Susana Cordeiro Guerra

Ms. Cordeiro Guerra was a Junior Professional Associate at the World Bank, in the East Asia Poverty Reduction Economic Management Department, where she conducted research on poverty reduction, fiscal decentralization and education policy in selected countries in East Asia, including China, Indonesia, Phillipines, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia and Cambodia.  She participated in the dissemination of research policy messages in the region and published two papers: the first one about the impact of fiscal decentralization on interregional equity, and the second one about its impact on education outcomes.  Ms. Cordeiro Guerra graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 2003 with a B.A. in Social Studies and wrote her honors thesis about the impact of school autonomy reforms on the quality of education in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
