Paulina Szyrmer, Associate

Prior to joining Chartwell, Ms. Szyrmer worked at an economic and social research institute in Warsaw, Poland, and at an NGO that supports grassroots organizations working with street children in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She received an MSc in Social Policy in Developing Countries from the London School of Economics. Her Masters thesis analyzed the potential of public-private partnerships in education to reduce socio-economic inequalities in Latin America. Ms. Szyrmer graduated with honors from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a dual degree in International Relations and Latin American Studies. During her studies, she interned at the Kosovo Law Centre in Pristina, Kosovo, the Madres de la Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Washington Office on Latin America in Washington DC, the Zisize community center in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa and taught English to underprivileged children in rural Ecuador. She is fluent in six languages.
